20.02.07 Website updates First of all I would make it clear once again...This is an unofficial Amon Duul 2 site. Therefor I can't and will not send you any promo stuff, free records or whatever.... On the other hand, I fully agree that this is how informative and good the offical one should be, but enough said about that. Newsletter 20.11.06 Hi all, And a very short update this time. Sad news for you this time.............. Peter Leopold died November 8th 2006 in Munich. His funeral took place last Tuesday in Munich, Germany. "Let The Words Be Yours, I'm Done With Mine"
Newsletter 26.09.06 It's been quite a while since I've updated the site, and hopefully things will progress within a month or so. I'm loaded with info, which I have to update. This will also include links etc.. Thank you ALOT to all of you who have contributed with info so far, I will get back to all of you- keep sending them. Also to all of you who signed up on my mailinglist and kind words about the site. Anyway, here are some facts and rumours about the band. The lack of info about AM2 was the main reason why I decided to work on the site, so here we go........................... * Early August the band played at The Flower Power Festival in Freiberg * Early August Chris and John played a gig at The Theatron in Munich * There might be a gig in September at the Cholmondeley Castle. Not comfirmed. * There still might be a UK tour in November as last year. Not confirmed. * There will be yet another 4 releases with bonus (new material) from SPV with Autumn. All in all there will then be 120 minutes available of new material released in 2006. * And a special treat for all those U.S. fans out there.....The might, just might be a 25 gig tour in the US. Not confirmed. You will be updated.............
Newsletter 16.05.06 A new video (free
download) is included in "Discography". This time it's a superb
version of "All The Years Gone". A sort of music video from the good
Phallus Dei and
Lemmingmania will be released in June 2006 with bonus tracks.
01.06.06 Confirmed concert in Dortmund 17.08.06 - New releases from SPV/ Revisited Records on the 19th of May - Lemmingmania and Phallus Dei will be released with bonus tracks on the 27th of June 2006 (see "Discography") - Garden of Delight will release an compilation including one track from Pyragony (not for sale)
27.05.06 VIDEO UPDATES More concert-dates have been added, new info in "Discography". I've also included links to rare videos of other great bands like Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Can, Man, Taste ect.. There is also a clip of Dead at Woodstock. You will find them all under "Free Video's To Watch".

09.05.06 FAUST NEWS This is an Amon Duul 2 site- but make sure to spread the word though; Just bringing you some Krautrock news about the legendary band FAUST. They will perform together with Soft Machine and lots of others on the 01-03.09.2006 Avantgarde Festival- Schiphorst. Check out the link to their website as well. Faust will play in Norway on the 1st of July.

02.05.06 DISCOGRAPHY Alot of new stuff in "Discography". From Phallus Dei to Hijack. Make sure to check out "Books" as well. The response about this website have been tremendous. I've always had this feeling that I was not the only one missing information about the band. Thanks for all mails and greetings. As far as I know, this site is the only one dedicated to AM 2 for the momement- except the official site. Sadly. If you experienced some problems earlier on reading the pages; I tried out some Egyptian style Fonts, that didn't work out on some browsers. So- I'm stuck with those boring Times New Roman.
27.04.06 NEW RELEASES The website is published. I've been planning this for years- never seemed like I would get time until now. Anyway, I will include more information in May. A special thanks should be said to Jan Inge Sommerseth for helping me out with the discography (vinyl albums and singles details). Plans for the future- setlists, pics etc. and hopefully some news now and then. I have no plans to just make this site an Amon Duul 2 retro-site. After having seen them live in 2005, they are still "One Smiling Motherfucker". On the 19th of May 2006 SPV
will release a series of Amon Duul 2's early material. It will
contain remasters of these albums. They will also probably include new
material as bonus tracks from sessions in March/ April 2006.
There is also a confirmed live date for 17.08.06 Dortmund.
