CatyardThe cats private area is underneath our veranda. We made it imidiatily after Nemi moved in, and we decided that we didn't want the sadness about loosing a cat in traffic again! Another reason is off course general safety for the cats, access to fresh air all year long, and ability to move free both indoor and outdoor as they wish! In addition, it's great when having males visiting when we can separate the "loving couple" from interference from the other cats.Until this summer, the yard has been OK, improving a bit every year, with climbing trees, vegetation, small houses and so on. This summer, however, we built a new section to our house, resulting in a bigger veranda, and thereby the possibility to increase the catyard to almost 30 sqm! This fall they will also get a cat-door, so Fredrik may keep his window closed during a long cold winter :-)!
