Cecilie Irgens: Links to other TT writers.

A few links to some of the other TT (TTd/TTo) pages on the Web; there are MANY more out there!
Some of those pages are not often updated, these last years.
You might follow the Transport Tycoon Web Ring too.

Why, oh WHY? - can't people call their page: "So-and-So's TT page",
instead of "THE ULTIMATE TTdx CENTRE" etc? Using one's name is not pushy, it's practical! I like to remember who is who!
I've put in a little something from the URL string, where needed.

The Semi-Faq is at 'i-want-a-website.com/':
J.S. Baughn's TT Semi-FAQ
A complete TT reference, describing all aspects of the game:
Vehicles, climates, strategies, tricks, bugs, limitations, links,....
If you're a beginner, here is the place to start learning.

TTDPatch - The Transport Tycoon Deluxe Patcher
now at ttdpatch.net, not ttdpatch.com! Can be combined with TTdAlter.
Among other things, it has what we've all wanted for so long:
- Change all tracks and trains to Monorail or Maglev at one go!
- Renew rolling stock at one go (for better ratings).
- Increase available number of trains, buses ... and of total vehicles.
- Short waypoint stations where trains don't stop; ==> safer routing.
- Pre-signals! Stations with upto 7 tracks, length upto 7!
- Longer trains ... and more than 1 engine, to pull them.
- show train speed. increase speed on curves, and/or uphills.
- now: new and more varied shipping.
- now: switch companies with the AI!
- And much else!

While waiting for 'next TT', I would like a competition where some of the more sensible 'cheats' in TTdPatch and TTdAlter are allowed; but excluding money cheats, 2000 km/hour trains etc.
Could someone please organize and host one??
This might give an interesting and realistic game, without some of the limitations and inconveniences we have to live with otherwise. Max 80 trains, that's the worst one.

TTdAlter is now being redeveloped by Owen Rudge:
the TTdAlter page: can be combined with TTdPatch.
Lets you edit vehicle properties: Engine speed, what the engine carries, etc; speed over bridges; and some other things.

SV1Tool and SV1Codec home page - here you find a small Windows program to Expand / re-Compress TT save files - all versions - TTo and TTdlx. and also:
A very useful 'TTd locations' document, showing where to look; in case you want to hack those save files.

Oliver Keating's Transport Tycoon Page and his:
The Transport Tycoon WWWboard but ... many of the postings are about other things - other games - even girls looking for men!

At Owen Rudge's site you'll find a TT forum more to the point:
Transport Tycoon Forums :: Index lots of recent info.

Useful links: Owen Rudge, from the Orkneys, has 4..5 URLs. Try:
www.transporttycoon.uk.tt/ Very well-constructed sites - lots of data on TT(dx), other games, software, Dos versions, saved-games manager, and much more. An advanced menu system makes it very easy to navigate.

Have you lost your old 'Cote D'Azur, France' scenario? or would like a very Arctic one from Svalbard? - Here is the probably longest list of such downloads:
The Ultimate Transport Tycoon Game Repository

Ben Cookman's: Transport Tycoon Deluxe Resource Centre
Nice fast-loading site. Some scenarios, and advanced games.
TTdPatch needed. Good examples of TTdPatch use.

Kevin Bunyans Transport Tycoon Original Page - If you at all HAVE TTo on your computer, you should go and download his "2047 Kev Transport". You will find:
- 3 big cities - the largest one over 50000 people! - done without editor!
- a magnificent Ro Ro station, servicing some 8..12 trains - in TTo - without 1-way signals! - GO and see it.

On the Nile map I find Guezireh island with the Zamalek district!
I lived there as a child for 6 turbulent years!
Site Moved! - Burkhard Jahnen has the Nile!
He also has a tutorial game, and texts (both English and German) on railway design, and on hassling opponent trains; complete with thumbnails and larger pictures. You can download and view it offline.

Site Moved! - Zeppelin: TT - Railway Design
Looking for that old classic text - Mike Metcalf's Railway Design guide? You'll find it here on Chris Doherty's site, along with some good save-games to illustrate those principles.

Wolfgang Preiss' current web site. His old classic text + pictures about railway design can (also) be found on my website, inbetween the material originally from Martin Koetsier.

Bill and Mike - Transport Tycoon Main
The first TT page I saw!

Here WAS a 3 carriage train from The Netherlands: Eijden, Koetsier, Laméris. Now just 1 left:
Paul van Eijden's Transport Tycoon Deluxe Pages - lots of information.

Zubin's TT Pages Well organized! - lots of info, pictures, hints.

Some new links:

Wimpie's page: TTdx and more. Detailed story of a long game with a very hard start.

TTe - TT-extreme: Explanations about getting TT to work under Win 2K or XP:

Dormolen, NL: 'Componist en Arrangeur'. Has a large FAQ; + more.

www.agdb.net.ru Russian game site! TTdx, + others.

ringler-net.de: German TTdx site

Macca's: TTd scenarios, + other stuff.

'Transport Tycoon Info Centre' (webnook.co.uk/ttic)

'Unofficial TT Website' (homepages.tesco.net/~manicolo).

'TTd knowledge exchange' (ttd.cernun.net).

abandonware?! <---? or ?---v
MicroProse AbandonWare Archive! 'old' games: Civ I, Civ II, TTo, TTd ...

You can download: bridghac.zip (Jan 2003)
This zip contains 1 savegame with 2 new bridge types hacked; + some water at high levels (it dooesn't flood!); + pictures, and Html code for 'Hack-ttd.htm' and 'miscdisc.htm', my list of wishes for next TT.

since I often refer to the 'Delta North' scenario, I've put the ZIP on my website:
deltanth.zip The original scenario, + the old 1997 competition text, play rules etc. that OLD time-limit competition is dead long ago, but DN is well worth playing.

.

Need to BUY TTdx? www.chipsbits.com HAD / has?
the Tycoon Collection
Which contains: TTdx for Windows; RRTy II; and Rollercoaster Tycoon.

My non-TT links have moved out.

URLs that seem dead - at least from my place:

Phil McCrum's Transport Tycoon Deluxe Page:
Astral Wizard's TTD Site: Splash Page
'It is now being updated again on a quasi-regular basis.' ?? (so he SAYS!)

For some time I've been unable to find:
Dead! Serg N.Ped'ko: - or
Serg N.Ped'ko - from Ukraina - TTd Competitions Page:
I hope he's still there on the Web!
If someone finds that page, please EMail me!

Almost all those TTd competitions could be accessed from Sergej; among others:
'The Long Haul' - Hard, Medium or Easy: Long distances; good-size cities.
'Delta North' - a new round with that charming landscape. Cities small at start, but LOTs of industries!
'Austrans Corporation' - tropical Australia. (hosted at the TT Fan club)

I can no longer find the Transport Tycoon Fan Club, English or Norwegian. Thor Hovden is no longer at the Bergen University.
I've looked for his new site, ... Don't think he has one ...
Stone Dead! Transport Tycoon Fan Club - Norwegian version - Norsk utgave
Stone Dead! The Transport Tycoon Fan Club - English version
Once it ws a central place: Member list; letters exchange; saves and scenarios; pictures.
A number of old and new competitions could be accessed here; both for TTdx and TTo.
