The sites listed offer games either as demos, shareware or freeware. You'll also find links to sites which contain abandonware. Abandonware is a term used about games that are no longer sold in stores and which are now being "given" away. They have been made freely available for download, so be sure to check out the abandonware sites to see if you can find that old classic game you've wanted to play for some time, but couldn't get hold of. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some abandonware sites also include links to games which are actually still sold in some stores, but are more than 3-5 years old. I do NOT link to these sites. Games which are still available in stores are not free, and it is therefore illegal to download them.
