BigBang concert

BigBang has, according to a groupie, played at "Samfunnet" once before, in 1997. And October the 27th, they played here again, and made it perfectly clear that they are one of the leading livebands in Norway.

The drummer Olaf Olsen, bassist Nic Eilertsen and guitarist and vocalist Øystein Geni are an energetic trio, who without any problems, created life and enthusiasm between the audience. Greni gesticulated and jumped high and far on the stage, had intense and longlasting eyecontact with the closest members of the audience and he stuck his head down the front of a low-cut top to a female fan. An incredible sceneshow to say the least. That band has a great contact with their audience and they showed a great passion for the music and a good mood that rubbed off on the fans. It looked like they were enjoying themselves on the stage at "Halvors" and they delivered their goods with lots of charm.

Personally I find it hard to say what kind of music BigBang plays, but for people who haven't heard their music, I'll try. You could just use terms like rock 'n roll and blues inspired melodious rock. Yep, something like that. The band's latest album "Electric Psalmbook" has sold pretty well and they have a good reputation as a live-band, something I definitely can agree on after their concert here on Wednesday. They played songs from their first album (released in a limited number since they didn't have a record contract back then), and they played many new songs that will be on their new album, which is due to be released this spring. Lots to look forward to here! The concert was a great experience; thank you thank you and welcome back?.
