Other comments:
When first arriving at Barnet in 1993, he saved the club from going under. The club was in financial turmoil, and Flashmans money was needed. On the playing field the club wasn't to successful.
In 1986 Flashman brought back Barry Fry after his spell in charge at Maidstone. Eventually this move paid off, and in 1991 the Bees were in the football league. Flashman said that this was only the beguinning and that Barnet could be another Wimbledon, and reach the old first division in 4-5 years.
The start was encouraging, and already in their second season Barnet got promoted. But by this time Flashman had resigned because of financial problems. The players was given a free transfer, because the club couldn't pay their wages.
