Other comments:
Former Liverpool and England goalkeeper Ray Clemence came to Barnet in January 1994 to try and regain the pride lost after the antics of Stan Flashman. The end of the 93/94 season, he used to get to know his squad, and in the close season he bpought the players he thought would be needed for rebuilding. The two most successful players he brought in was Doug Freedman and Linvoy Primus. Others such as Mark Cooper, and loan star Gerard McMahon were also successes. In his first full season in charge, he helped Barnet into the play off. Then Doug Freedman was sold to Crystal Palace, and the team strggled a bit more the next season. He then left to be goalkeeping coach for England. But surely his spell must be regarded as successful.
