Barnet's home game against Hull was a dull affair. The chances that the homeside created was few and far between. The Hull team worked hard and the league leaders found it hard to find the form that has put them on top of the division. The first half was terrible, and hardly anything happened. In the second half it was Hull that started brightest. Colin Alcide couldn't find the net with a header from a Steve Harper cross. Right after that a wonderful three-man move involving Gary Brabin and the dominating Harper found Gerry Harrison through with the Barnet keeper, but he could't get past him. Just after this Alcide had the best individual moment of the match, when he came fired a shot from 25 yards that hit the left-hand post. The St. Lucian internationals Alcide and Ken Charlery had their chances, but none of them could score. After 84 minutes, Arber had the best chance to steal the victory for the Bees, but he missed from the brilliant Currie corner. The Steve Harper's 40 yard run and shot forced a good save out of Barnet's replacement keeper. In the end Barnet had to be satisfied with the one point, and the unbeaten run is now stretched to 10 games.

This game was between the top two teams of the division. It was unbeaten Barnet against Rochdale, who had won all the five away games without conceding a goal. The first real chance of the game fell to Fraser Toms in the 12th minute, when he fired a shot after good work from Rob Sawyers. 10 minutes later Ken Charlery scored his sixth goal of the season after he found the end of another great Darren Currie cross. This goal came in a strong Rochdale period. After around 30 minutes, Scott McGleish was hit by Rochdale defender Keith Hill's elbow and he was knocked out, and needed 3-4 minutes to get into the action again. The poor referee though, couldn't see anything wrong with Hill's action. In the second half, Rochdale dominated comletely, and only some outstanding defending by Barnet's defensive trio Hackett, Arber and Heald, kept the Bees in front. Chances from Holt and Platt were the main threats, but the Bees kept them out. Two minutes from time did the referee punish Barnet winger Darren Currie for an using the elbow on Richard Green, but it was to late for the Dale, it ended 1-0, and Barnet are still top of the league.
