Barnet beat Torquay

In todays division 3 match between Torquay and Barnet at Plainmoor, The Bees proved that their good form was still there- THey beat the home side 1-0. The goal was scored by defender Greg Heald. This meant that Barnet kept their position at the top.

Bees-Cobblers 2-1

The Bees continue their impressive form as Northampton is sent home without points after another 2-1 victory for Barnet. This time it was Ken Charlery who scored the goals for the home side, while Canadian Carlo Corazzin scored for Northampton.

Ansell goes on loan

Barnet striker Gary Ansell has gone on a months loan to Hayes. He arrived from Barking at the start of the season, but couldn't hold down a regular place.
Already after three minutes on his debut for Hayes, he scored a goal. But it didn't help them. They still lost 3-2.

Still on top.

Barnet is still on top of the division after impressive 2-1 victory at Vetch Field. All three goals came in th final 11 minutes. The first was scored by Darren Currie, before Thomas equallized for the Swans. In the dying seconds Charlery scored the second, and the Bees could go home happy.

Injury status

Danny Chapman: Dislocated knee-cap. Can start easy training towards the end of September.
Mike Basham: Cartilage tear. Will hopefully be back in early October.
Steve Barnes: Fully fit.
Stevie Searle: Fully fit.
Gary Ansell: Achilles trouble.
Lee Harrison: Back from a shoulder injury.
Warren Goodhind: Working hard. Hopes to be back in training in December, and fit to play a month later.
John Butterfield: Got a nasty ankle sprain in the summer, but should be back in the reserves any time.
Ben Strevens: Back trouble, because of the transition to full-time pro.

The Bees in for Ifill?

According to Teamtalk, Barnet are showing interest in Millwall's 19 year old attacker Paul Ifill. He is mainly a winger, but can also play as centre forward. He is quick and skillful, an might be a good signing for The Bees. Ifill is out of contract at the end of the season, and is looking for a place where he can get first team football.

Barnet go top

A Scott McGleish double sent Barnet to the top of division 3 on Sunday. One goal in each half was enough to beat Macclesfield, who got one back late on from Barker.

Barnet looking for top spot

If Barnet win their game against Macclesfield at Underhillon Sunday, they will go top of division 3. Leaders Exeter and the chasing pack of Rochdale, Swansea and Peterborough all lost their games on Friday and Saturday, while Darlington went into second place after they beat Exeter.

Wilson testimonial

Paul Wilson testimonial is set to take place on October 5th. The opposition wiull be West Ham, and the Barnet team will include players from the early 90's. Amongst them will be a certain Nicky Evans.

Fucillo out, Cunningham in

Lil Fucillo has left the job as Assistant Manager at Barnet. He is replaced by youth team coach Tom Cunningham.
