Barnet will meet Burnley in the first round of the FA cup. The game will be played at Underhill.

Unbeaten run got to an end

Barnet were beaten 2-0 at Rotherham today. This ended the run of 11 unbeaten games in the league. Barnet are still 4 points clear at the top of division 3. The Rotherham goals were scored by Leo Fortune-West and Chris Chadwick.

Pardew new Reading boss

Former Barnet player Alan Pardew has been appointed new Reading manager after Tommy Burns.

Currie sent off, but Barnet won again

Barnet beat Rochdale 1-0 today to take their unbeaten run to 11 matches. The goal was scored by Ken Charlery in the 22 minute. The game was hard and Darren Currie was sent off two minutes from time. Barnet are still 4 points clear at the top.

Wilson scores in testimonial

In Paul Wilson's testimonial on Wednesday, he scored one of West Ham's goals in the 8-0 thrashing. The West Ham team included players such as Ruddock, Keller and Kitson, and the Barnet team from 1990/91 had no chance. WIlson's goal came in the second half, when he scored on a penalty to give the Hammers a 5 goal lead.

Paul Wilson testimonial

Today is the day of Paul Wilson's testimonial. Former Barnet favourites will be present to show the last survivor form the Non-league days their appreciation. Barry Fry(Manager of the side) and Nicky Evans are amongst the participants in the match that will be played against West Ham.

Winning run came to an end.

Barnet's winning run came to an end today, when the Bees where held to 0-0 at home against Hull.

New Copthall plans

A press release on Friday showed the new plans for a new ground, that Barnet need to stay in the football league. It is still at Copthall. The most important part of it is that it is within the strict criteria laid down in respect of green belt land.
The athletics facilities is removed from the plans, and the capacity is reduced t0 9.999.
It has also been a slight change in the roof structure to make The Football League aprove of it.
According to chairman Tony Kleanthous, this is the last opportunity to keep Barnet in the Area.      Full details at KBA >>

Still picks up award

John Still is given the Manager of the Months award for division 3. After a month where all games were won, and Barnet took over the top spot, this was hardly a big surprise.
The other winners were Paul Bracewell(Fulham) and Gary Megson(Stoke).
