Control Room

K20 is Musikkteknikk's biggest and best equipped multitrack recording studio with goodies like Scandinavia's only Sony OXF-R3 (Oxford) digital mixer, 24 bit Pro Tools HD 96 i/o, Sony 48 track DASH and Tascam DA88's. The studio has recently been set up for 5.1 surround production with Adam S3-A speakers, Genelec 7070 sub, Lexicon 960 reverb and TC System 6000 mastering compressor.

The Oxford has 72 full channels with mic/line inputs and 48 additional return channels with full eq, 48 multitrack bussing, 32 side chain busses, 24 auxiliary sends and 8 stereo audio subgroups. The console is totally re-settable with full dynamic automation including moving faders on all channels. All input channels include independent compressor, limiter, expander, gate and digital effects processing. All input input modules also include a 5 band fully parametric eq (real time swept) with independent hi/lo pass filters, A and B switching settings and independent in/out for each band.

In K20 we produce all kinds of music spanning from techno, rock, bigband and jazz, to contemporary and classical. Our multitrack live recordings are mixed in this studio.

Our main multitrack is Pro Tools HD with 96 I/O. We also have a Sony 48 track DASH, Tascam DA-88 and a 24 track analog Otari MTR 90.

The control room and studio was rebuilt in 1992 with rest room for musicians and machine room upstairs.

Studio 20

S 20 is about 50 square meters, with a drum booth and vocal booth. It is permanently installed with a Yamaha MIDI grand piano, a Yamaha Recording Custom drumset, Fender and Marshal giutar Amps, Hammond organ + more.

Studio 19

S19 a large studio about 140 square meters. It is recently refurbished to an intimate concert hall that seats about 50 people. Live concerts for an eclusive audience with national and international artists are recorded or transmitted live from Studio 19.
