In
the beginning.......
Subsonic
Arrival was established in 1997, after a music contest on a
norwegian national TV-channel, NRK 1. Six months later a demo-CD was
released with norwegian lyrics. That lastet for another six months......
......before
Subsonic Arrival
It all began when I was 12-13 years old. I
started as a drummer in a rockabilly band called Fergus & The Masters.
My passion for music was undescribable, and after a couple of years, me and
my brother started a New Wave band called Demi Monde. After a few years I began as a drummer in a more established band called Kong
Hong. And we
released two albums "a matter of breathing" (1988) and "Big
Parade" (1990). Around 1990 my first home studio was purchased, and
my "career" as a vocalist and songwriter started - and the band
Too Fat To Fall was borned. In 1991 the singel "Who Gave Him The
Crown" was released, and it was quite a hit on the norwegian national
radio NRK P2. A couple of years I combine beeing a drummer in Kong Hong
and the vocalist in Too Fat To Fall, but then singing thook control. We
toured around east of Norway, playing everywhere for almost nothing. Our
music was for the alternativ scene and Norway is a rather small country,
and our music wasn't for the masses. In that period we recorded a lot of
demoes, and two of our songs was used in a couple of norwegian movies,
"Over Stork Og Stein" and "Bikinisesesongen".
In 1997 Too Fat To Fall really falled over, and Subsonic Arrival saw the
day of light. I started singing norwegian lyrics, cause I've always wanted
to do so, but soon I went back to english again. I wrote a lot of new
songs in that period and my home studio became better and better.
Then 1998 came and Subsonic Arrival released the first demo-CD. The
respons was overwhelming, but I was tired of beeing refused by all the
record companies, so only a few labels got the new demo. And of course
nothing happend!
...........and now
Internet is a perfect scene so far. Subsonic
Arrival will continue writing great music, and nobody nows what the future
might bring. You're welcome to download a song, or listen to one in RealAudio. Don't hesitate to give Subsonic Arrival YOUR personal
feedback.
