.. during the norwegian "join EU" campaign I took the liberty of asking
people in both parties on what side Olof Palme would have been on, had
he been alive. Some of the floor level Join-EU volonteers claimed
Olof Palme would have supported joining the EU, because of his wiews on
sustainable development. Higher up, nobody! would comment on the
issue. On the other side, the EU resistance, happily
(and with fat grins) agreed Olof Palme's opinions (and his stylish way
of expressing them) would indeed have been a very interesting addition
to the debate...

NOU 1981 : 11 "Alexander L. Kielland-ulykken", the official accident
investigation report on the oil platform that lost a float leg, its stability
and 123 lives. This report makes no mention of an alledged "rapidly heated
and rapidly cooled tubular truss, which had deformations in its area of
separation from the main structure, that was inconsistant" with the official
report. On page 11 however, the investigation commission does state that
it is "far from having questioned all survivors" and that it has "limited
its investigation to the appearant chain of events in order to keep the
investigation time-frame within reason, excluding other" (possible?) "chain
of events, such as explosion accidents"... ;-7
..one of the above Norwegian Intelligence Officers took a suspect
Nazi spy to his Stockholm office, where he seated the spy comfortably in
a chair and then sat silently just smoking his pipe for the next 5 hours
ready to listen to the spy surrendering his mission intelligence. Professionality...
