..Forrest Gump in Action...

..in the Gulf War against Iraq, an estimated 100 000 to 150 000 Iraqi Soldiers was killed, against some 200 Nato troops, mostly US.

..I know we are good. I served a total 21 months myself. But we are not 500 to 750 times better Soldiers than the Iraqi. We do get the best training and the best equipment available. If it gets bad we help each other. That's how Nato started.

When the Russia defeated the Soviet Union, they removed the nuclear war threat.
This gave us an obligation to follow up the Russian Victory, and to secure it, Peace.
..then some Idiot from, you guessed it, gave Saddam Hussein the idea Kuwait was his to take. So, surprise-surprice, he did. And the Kuwaiti cried for help. And help came, after some bombardment, Kuwait was freed, this cost an estimated 100 000 to 150 000 Iraqi Soldiers killed, against some 200 Nato troops, mostly US.
..when I served, we were thaught a healthy respect for the enemy, that war is dangerous and that it might get really mean, as in nuclear.
So we are trained to meet and combat the enemy, in compliance with the Geneva Conventions, and to expect him to do his best fight us back, not neccesarily in compliance with the Geneva Conventions.

..now that we have the context ready, enter, tam-tam-tatta-tam, Forrest Gump, in Action, in the Gulf War.
In his shiny new Humvee, a big fat 4x4 ride, and armed with his Gatling-Wannabe hand piece and 6! .45 rounds, Forrest Gump goes to war.
Getting lost aint hard, finding a big enough mud hole, in a desert, is, getting the Humvee stuck in it, is a brilliant piece of art.

..now, enter into the scene, 6 Iraqi tanks and 600 Iraqi infantery troops against Forrest Gump's hilarious Colt revolver.
He wisely! decided his combat position was indeed not a good one. So he chose to hold his fire. And pray.
The 6 Iraqi tanks line up. The 600 Iraqi troops line up.
You've heard of those precious last seconds when your memories spools by like crazy?

..a volonteer crew reel out some steel rope, hooks up a tank and arrogantly pulls Forrest's Mudvee out of the hole.
Now surrounded by 6 Iraqi tanks and 600 chuckling Iraqi troops, Forrest Gump is in for the ultimate surprice of his life:
the 600 laughing Iraqi troops Surrender themselves and their 6 tanks, to him. Instead of taking him POW.

..several hundred Iraqi soldiers tried to surrender even two weeks after that war.
Many Iraqi POW's told they were held at gun point by Saddams Revolutionary Guard Troops, and that their own families would be shot should they not fire on the enemy. So most of them did aim and fire, to avoid being shot in the back and to avoid hit someone. Here, I would like to point out the fact that I started writing the pasifist how-to on April 1'st this year 1999. So I did not inspire the Iraqi. They inspired me.

..a remaining problem was the 200 men who dove the wrong way for cover, and was flown home in bodybags.
Aimless gun fire sprayed by chickens would have killed many more of the half a million men lead by General Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf.
To them, on attacking, they saw Iraqi troops aim and open fire. Aim for what? Each of the Gump's were just pleasantly surprised, to have survived the lead whizzing past their ears, when they made it into the Iraqi trench.

..so you think Bayonet Trench Combat is dangerous and hard? Imagine gunning or stabbing down the real enemy, with your own trench full of shit-less-scared Gump's, who see you look like you're still fighting, wearing the same uniform as the real enemy, without harming any Gump and without getting killed yourself. Hard? Just read this paragraph over again until you manage to picture this. Then you can begin to appreciate the Iraqi troops confidence in Forrest Gump. Or do you really want to belive we are 500 to 750 times better soldiers than the Iraqi?

..the Iraqi, just like the Russians, did their part. So just who did stop Storming Norman and the troops on 'both' sides from kicking Saddam out of Office? Who does Saddam really work for? The same people who turned down Boris Yeltsin when he tried to borrow money to fund the first Russian Parliament Election in 1991? The same people who had Olof Palme shot?

..Slobodan Milosevic use a more effective way of securing troop loyalty: first make his men rape, shot or rob civilians, then tell them they are as responsible as him self. Which is true. And which will earn them 20 years. Because ICTY painted itself into a corner.

..the corner the Tribunal has painted itself into, is leaving too small penal margins between comparatively petty crimes committed by infanterymen earning them ~20 years, and the 25 year maximum. Nothing in the Geneva Conventions mandates a 25 year maximum, the maximum penalty in the Conventions, is Death, second comes the Life Sentence, which is what the Head of the Party Organization and Cabinet Member Walter Richard Rudolf Hess served until August 17'th of 1987, in the Spandau Prison.

..Slobodan Milosevic has showed us a way out of that corner: the 3 Gump's he had captured on Former Macedonian Federal Yugoslav Republic Soil, may have committed war crimes running their Humvee deep into a rock avalance. Hey, they looked like it. And they did cry for help on the radio. Slobodan Milosevic has previously proved us he do not like his country's borders, nor does he appear to like wasting money sending bandits to Hague.

..now that Slobodan Milosevic has showed us a way out of these corners, I am sure we can arrange something in full compliance with the Four Geneva Conventions of August 12'th 1949 and their Protocols Additional. Why go to Hague and the 25 year limit? Why not Moscow?
