Wat Okatsribuaban - This temple, which is as old as Nakhon Phanom itself, is where the Buddha images of Phra Taew and Phra Tiam are enshrines. These Buddha images are of spesial significance to Nakhon Phanom, and are paid respects to bu the people. This template is by the Maekhong River next to Indochina Market.

Wat Srithep Pradittharam - This temple has a very beutiful ordination hall, which has delightful murals on the walls. Enshrined in this temple is the very importent Buddha image of Pra Sang which by legend was made at the same time as theBuddha images of Pra Suk and Pra Sai(Wat Phochi - Nong Kai). Also in this templeis the revered sculpture of Luang Phu Chan who was well known, and paid respects to, by the people of the North East.

Riverside Promenade - This is alongside the Maekhong River in the municipal area, and gives a good view across the river to the province of Tha Khaek. It`s an ideal viewpoint to observe the mountais of Laos, espesially in the early morning as the sun rises above the mountains.

Terdprakiat Park and Strand - This area is adjacent to the Maekhong River. During the summer months of February to April the water level drops to reveal a stretch of unspoilt sand that extends almost to the Lao side of the river. It\ an ideal picnic area.
