Melatonic
The idea of recording Melatonic was the product of a long and constant search among traditions, styles, tastes, as well as within our own identities. A journey through wondrous ideas showed how smoothly unified differences can be. Those permanent questions about beauty and love, melancholy and depression, light and creation, individuality and universality, inspired our emotional involvement with the project. The answers are to be constantly craved for, travelled to... Melatonic is for us a satisfactory trip towards those questions, whose answers, like desire, remain insatiable by definition.

"This first CD by Bodurov - Duppe - Heineking is a serene and spacious recording which contains much beauty, mystery and illusion. The trio achieve these effects by using an intelligent mixture of dynamic variation, underplaying and inclusive interaction. The compositions are also an interesting blend of obliqueness and understatement. Their playing throughout is excellent and the recording quality superb. |
