Carsten Dyngeland has worked as pianoplayer, pianoteacher and composer since the early 1980's. He playes mostly jazz, but has also been active on the blues, soul and popscene. He has toured with jazz musicians such as Karl Seglem, Terje Isungset, Ole Amund Gjersvik etc. Carsten has led his own band Cocoon since the early 1990's, together with his wife Barbro Husdal on vocals, Sigurd Ulveseth on bass and Frank Jacobsen or Geir Svinnset on drums and percussion. He also leads his own trio Tertz with Ole Amund Gjersvik on bass and Snorre Bjerk on drums and percussion. His latest release is Cocoon: Cocoon
