For the "Black Tour" and beyond, equip manager and bass roadie Zack Harmon designed
speaker coffins for consistant tone. These were essentially large road cases housing a speaker cabinet,
sound dampening and fixed positon microphones (Senheiser 421s I believe).

Last used live: Cincinatti on the Load Tour. I don't know for sure, but the reason I think he uses
the evil green V instead of the red one is because of the strap button locations. If you look closely, the
strap button on the red one is at the very tip of the V, but on the green one its "inside" the V. The green
 one is easier to wear.

James now uses Wizard amps and cabinets, however I have no information on his current setup.

James' ESP guitars (unless otherwise noted):
Are built or overseen by Matt Masciandaro. James guitars have maple set-necks (glued joint) and
mahogany bodies. All of the ESP guitars have rosewood fretboards except for "the black album" guitars
which are Ebony. All hardware (tune-o-matic bridge, stop piece and tuners) is black. There are Gibson
style 3 way switches, and 2 volume controls (one for each pickup). James changed from having an EMG
81 pickup at the neck to an EMG 60 before the Load album, when he changed the pickups in all of his
stage guitars, and his recording ESP's (ESP Explorer #2)
